CVE-2026-115635Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash_postgres allows a user to read another tenant's record through a skipped upsert.
When Ash.bulk_create/4 or a single...
Executive summaryA flaw in AshPostgres, a database library used with the Ash framework, can let one tenant read another tenant's record in a multi-tenant application. The advisory rates it MEDIUM with a CVSS 4.0 base score of 6.0. The advisory points to a fix in version 2.15.2 and the fix commit 8aa8122, and it does not state any workaround. Technical summaryThis is an Incorrect Authorization flaw (CWE-863) in the ash_postgres data layer. When an upsert is skipped during Ash.bulk_create/4 or a single create with return_skipped_upsert?: true, the lookup of the existing row did not apply attribute multitenancy, so a user could receive another tenant's record that shares the same identity values. The advisory says the affected range is from 2.6.22 before 2.15.2 on Hex, and from commit af0903f up to commit 8aa8122 on GitHub. The CVSS vector is CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:L/UI:N/VC:H/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N, which requires low privileges and a resource that uses attribute multitenancy with return_skipped_upsert?: true. The advisory does not state any workaround or in-the-wild exploitation, and it gives no specific detection guidance beyond the affected routines. CVE-2026-115627Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash_postgres allows a user to load destination records linked to a source record only through another tenant's join...
Executive summaryA flaw in the ash_postgres library, used with the Elixir Ash framework, lets a user in one tenant see records that belong to other tenants' data when certain relationships are loaded. The advisory rates it MEDIUM with a CVSS 4.0 score of 6.0. The advisory states the affected range is from 0.38.0 before 2.15.2 on Hex, and the fix is in commit 8c25c94 on GitHub; it does not explicitly state an upgrade recommendation beyond that fix. Technical summaryThis is an Incorrect Authorization flaw (CWE-863) where AshPostgres builds lateral join queries for many_to_many and through relationships without running the resource's read action, so attribute multitenancy is not applied to the join resource. The attack requires an authenticated user with low privileges (PR:L) and network access, and the preconditions are that the join resource uses :attribute multitenancy with rows from several tenants and that the relationship is loaded with a lateral join, such as with a limit, offset or sort. The advisory states the affected Hex versions as 0.38.0 up to but not including 2.15.2, and the GitHub affected range as commit 7115bec up to but not including 8c25c94. A workaround is not stated in the advisory. Detection guidance is not stated beyond the affected function names lateral_join_query/3, through_step_queries/4 and run_query_with_lateral_join/4 in lib/data_layer.ex. CVE-2026-114214Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash allows a client to read destination records unrelated to the source record through a through relationship.
When a...
Executive summaryA flaw in the Ash framework, an Elixir library from ash-project, lets a client read destination records that should only be reachable through a specific relationship. The advisory rates it MEDIUM with a CVSS 4.0 score of 6.0. The vendor's fix is in version 3.37.1, and the advisory says affected versions are 3.24.0 before 3.37.1. Technical summaryThis is an Incorrect Authorization flaw (CWE-863) in the Ash read relationships code, specifically lateral_join?/4 in lib/ash/actions/read/relationships.ex. When a has_many through relationship is loaded for a single record with a limit of 1, or an unsorted has_one through relationship is loaded with a limit of 1, the query omits the filter linking destination records to the source, so the load returns unrelated records; paging with an offset can enumerate more of them. The attack vector is network with low complexity, and the CVSS vector requires low privileges and no user interaction, with high confidentiality impact. The advisory states the affected range as 3.24.0 up to but not including 3.37.1, with fix commit e374633, and says the vulnerable Git range is 24f41e2 to e374633. The advisory does not state a workaround or any detection guidance, and does not state whether the flaw has been exploited in the wild. Summaries are generated by AI from the linked advisory text. CVE-2026-105283Generation of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in ash-project ash_typescript allows an unauthenticated attacker to read internal Elixir terms from...
From the advisoryGeneration of Error Message Containing Sensitive Information vulnerability in ash-project ash_typescript allows an unauthenticated attacker to read internal Elixir terms from an RPC error response by provoking an error the error builder has no dedicated clause for. AshTypescript.Rpc.ErrorBuilder.build_error_response/1 in lib/ash_typescript/rpc/error_builder.ex renders a pipeline error term that matches no specific clause with inspect/1 and places the result in details.error of the client-facing error. Ash exceptions take a separate path in AshTypescript.Rpc.Errors where unhandled cases are redacted behind an errorId, but these fallbacks have no redaction, so whatever the term carries reaches the HTTP or channel response. Two request paths hand it such terms: a struct-typed action argument with an invalid nested value, where cast_map_to_struct/2 in lib/ash_typescript/rpc/input_formatter.ex throws the raw Ash.Type cast error into the builder, and field selection on a generic action that returns a primitive, where format_field_type/1 inspects the full Ash.Info.Manifest.Type struct into vars.returnType. Resource module names in vars.resource are not treated as sensitive and are out of scope. This issue affects ash_typescript: from 0.1.0 before 0.19.1. CVE-2026-101028Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an actor to infer data in related records they cannot read via Ash.count/2, Ash.exists/2 and...
From the advisoryIncorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an actor to infer data in related records they cannot read via Ash.count/2, Ash.exists/2 and Ash.aggregate/3. Ash.Actions.Aggregate.run/4 (lib/ash/actions/aggregate.ex) applied only the root resource's read policy before running the aggregate query. The read path also applies each related resource's read policy to filter and sort references that cross a relationship, directly (for example comments.body) or through an aggregate over one, but the aggregate path skipped that step. A caller whose filter or sort reaches these functions, for example through Ash.Query.filter_input/2, an ash_lua script, or an AshAi tool offering count or exists results, can test conditions against related rows hidden from them and recover their existence and attribute values one query at a time. Ash.read/2 and its page counts are not affected. This issue affects ash: from 2.6.0 before 3.34.6. Impact if exploitedConfidentialityHigh IntegrityNone AvailabilityNone

Ash stores :atom-typed attributes as strings and compares them as strings
ash-projectash-project ash

NVD | |||

CVE-2026-94201Ash stores :atom-typed attributes as strings and compares them as strings
From the advisoryAsh stores :atom-typed attributes as strings and compares them as strings. When such an attribute is referenced in a filter, the comparison value is coerced through Ash.Type.Atom. Because the type defined no coerce/2 callback, coercion fell back to the default (cast_input/2), which calls String.to_atom/1 when the attribute is configured with the unsafe_to_atom?: true constraint. Filtering such an attribute with attacker-controlled strings therefore interned a new, permanent atom for every distinct value. Atoms are never garbage collected and the BEAM caps the atom table, so an actor who can supply filter values for a public, filterable :atom attribute declared with unsafe_to_atom?: true can exhaust the atom table and crash the node (denial of service). AshPaperTrail is a notable example: its version resources expose a public, filterable version_action_name atom attribute with unsafe_to_atom?: true by default. The fix adds a coerce/2 to Ash.Type.Atom that never interns atoms — a comparison value is left as a string, since the type is stored and compared as a string. Setting the attribute from action input (cast_input/2, which still honors unsafe_to_atom?) is unchanged. This issue affects ash: from 3.5.1 before 3.34.3.
